Special projects

Sometimes specialist expertise is required to overcome short-term challenges

Employers and trustee boards often find themselves in situations where a sudden change in circumstances means that they are in urgent need of professional trustee assistance. This can happen for a variety of reasons, including:

  • corporate restructuring;
  • scheme closure;
  • conflict resolution and membership disputes;
  • adviser review and selection; and
  • conflicts of interests, preventing progress on a funding negotiation.

Proactive project management
Our wide range of experience and our hands-on, proactive approach mean that we are able to adapt quickly and accept appointments at short notice to help trustees and employers work through these challenges.

We will work with you to identify the key issues and quickly put in place an efficient plan for managing the project to completion. Our Scheme Directors have many years’ experience of personally managing projects through periods of extreme sensitivity to ensure that all parties’ objectives are met.

Building on successes
The experience gained and the trust developed from working on these projects is something which can be valuable for schemes in the longer term. We are happy to keep in touch with trustees and employers after completion of a project to discuss how things have worked for you. Our experience arising from special projects has also resulted in us being appointed as trustee to schemes on a permanent basis to help create and implement longer term plans.
